What Idiomer is

Idiomer documents how expressions are actually used — descriptively, not prescriptively. Entries may describe offensive or contested language with warnings; documentation is not endorsement. Verification statuses (Candidate, Attested, Community-reviewed…) mean exactly what they say; treat Candidate content accordingly.

Your use of the content

Definitions, examples, and other lexical content are licensed CC BY-SA 4.0 — you may reuse them, even commercially, with attribution to Idiomer and share-alike. The Idiomer name, logo, and software are not covered by that license.

Contributions

By submitting requests, corrections, or (when contributor tools open) entries, you license your submission under CC BY-SA 4.0 and grant us the right to display, edit, moderate, and redistribute it with attribution. Submit only what you have the right to share; no scraped commercial dictionary content.

Accounts and conduct

Don’t abuse the service: no spam, automated scraping beyond the public API’s reasonable use, harassment, or attempts to break the review system. We may remove content or suspend accounts that do.

No warranty

The service is provided “as is,” without warranties. Definitions can be wrong; statuses tell you how much checking has happened. Nothing here is professional (legal, medical, or otherwise) advice.

Takedowns

Rights holders and affected people can request review or removal via the contact form; every report is read.
