They belonged to the Rhodian school, and lived about 300 B.C. The group represents Dirce bound to the horns of a bull by Zethus and Amphion, for ill-using their mother. It was discovered in the Baths of Caracalla in 1546, and placed in the Farnese palace, in Rome. It is now at the Museo Nazionale, Naples.
